The Annual ISMAANA Spring Picnic was held on April 04, 2009 at
After registration people spent some time socializing with each other. Afterwards there were fun filled children’s activities such as Easter Egg Hunt, Pinning the Rabbit’s Tail and Easter Egg Decoration Contest. These activities were conducted by Sonali Sapru (wife of Ashutosh Sapru, ’94 PE) and Shubha Singh (wife of Manoj Choudhary, ’93 PE). Following children activities there was a tug-of-war for adults. This is a very popular picnic event! Both the alumni as well as their spouses participated in the tug-of-war. After the tug-of-war, some of the alumni organized an impromptu cricket game and had a lot of fun.

After lunch everybody participated in the game of “Tambola”, which was very well organized and conducted by Suruchi Sablok (wife of Ritesh Sablok, ’99 PE) and Phalguni Kikani (wife of Jitendra Kikani, ’84 PE). There was a short interval during the game so that Ashutosh Ashish (’94 PE), Secretary, ISMAANA could address all the attendees and provide an update on the ISMAANA activities. The Secretary announced the newly elected Executive Committee and the Board for the next three year (2009-2011) period.
Finally with some Chai the picnic came to an end but along with the good byes everybody had to say only one thing- “let us do this again next year”! The picnic was a grand success but only because of the hard work of several volunteers. We would like to acknowledge and thank Manish Lal (’98 PE), Bimal Parekh (’94 PE), Surat Rath (’84, PE), Ashutosh Sapru (’94 PE), Rana Roy (’94 PE), Nitin Choudhury (’99 PE), Tanweer Akhtar (’98 PE), Avesh Dixit (’2000 PE) and Sharad Yadav (’99 PE) who volunteered their time to make this a success.
